| Bio: | Michael Bevilacqua is a 32 year old US citizen residing in the town of Schwenksville, Pennsylvania located North West of Philadelphia. An Italian American, he was bought up in the town of Glenside by his Mother Elaine and his Father David. He has a Brother Nicholas, who is a little over a year younger. He is married to Elizabeth Bevilacqua. He has no children. Michael has been part of the IT work force since 1998. He currently holds a position as Director, Systems and Network Management for a well established web development firm in Huntingdon Valley, Pennsylvania known as Digital Wave Technologies, Inc. Michael is self-taught and did not attend College. He does however hold a High School Diploma from Cheltenham High School in Wyncote, PA. Michael spends most of his free time with his Wife Elizabeth Bevilacqua. Elizabeth and Michael were Married in a Shamanic fashion October 22nd 2006. Michael adores Elizabeth, his soul mate and best friend, for her beauty, intelligence, keen eye for details, compassion and patience. When together, Michael and Elizabeth enjoy discovering new microbrews at local and not so local brew pubs throughout the region. They enjoy relaxing at home with a movie cued up on the MythTV machine with their cats, Caligula and Simcoe. Both are also lovers of the outdoors and can be found tending to their gardens, participating in sweat lodge ceremonies with friends, relaxing by the fire pit or camping out somewhere in the forests in the Western regions. Michael is an electronic music enthusiast and collects rare vinyl and digital media in the genres of space, ambient, techno, and trance. Michael regularly attends concerts in Philadelphia showcasing ambient and space music. He also highly enjoys attending any party where good techno and trance is being played in a safe and friendly environment. As a hobby, he occasionally DJs for streaming stations or releases podcasts. He enjoys discussing and reviewing ambient music with like-minded people. And there is always ambient music playing in their house. Michael is also a technology enthusiast building home entertainment systems, workstations, servers and just about anything else from Linux, his OS of choice. His collection of architectures consists of 32 and 64-bit Sun Sparc's dating back to the early nineties, a 64-bit SGI Octane2, a 32-bit Apple Power PC dating back to the late nineties, and recent Intel/AMD 32 and 64-bit machines. There are currently eight working machines on the Clockbot.net network. His websites are now hosted from a VPS account provided by Tektonic.net in Perkasie, PA. Spirituality is a large part of Michael's life as well. Following in the path of the Native American Shaman, he leads a life of prayer, service, meditation and self-examination. The Earth is Michael's Cathedral. In this he makes a good effort to give back to it as much as he takes. He believes in low-emission, high-efficiency vehicles and appliances, recycling, composting, renewable resources, intelligent consumerism, and spending as much time on their half-acre lot as possible. Michael studied core Shamanism and the Harner Method under mentor Jim Frank from 2005 until 2006. Michael continues Shamanic education through books and other gatherings and ceremonies. | |
