There has to be a reason for all of this.

It will become apparent in some future time why I have had such a bad month with my 2005 Honda Civic. Like I mentioned, Coyote is tripping me up and testing me. These are all very good tests, very challenging patience wise. I can honestly say that I’m handling them in a more mature manner than before I embraced Shamanism.

ouchSo, Saturday May the 20th I headed over to the gym in the AM in Fort Washington, did my workout, showered and headed over to pick up my friend Juliana for a wedding we were going to attend. As we were driving to the wedding someone turned into my lane as he wasn’t paying attention as he attempted to make a left into a parking lot entrance at the furniture stripping shop on Glenside Ave. Fortunately I was going 25 in a 25 so I was able to avoid any serious damage and didn’t deploy the airbag. The car was driveable, so after going through the police report/insurrance process once again, we drove up to my house in Schwenksville to get the Rav that way we would only be late to the wedding.

On Monday I called Progressive again to get the car back into the body shop. I have to admit, I’d be lost without the team at Grand Sport Auto Body in all of this mess. They do top quality work in such little time. It only took them 5 days to repair the civic again. And fortunately for me, I don’t have to pay the deductable this time around as the person at fault was insurred by the same company I am. I should also be receiving the reimbursement of the first deductable for the prior work shortly according to my contact at Liberty Mutual.

I was still shaken up on Tuesday though. Elizabeth wanted to travel into Philadelphia for a Linux Chix meeting at a Sushi Bar in West Philadelphia. We were going to take the train to avoid driving but the stress got the better of me. I didn’t see the point of an hour train ride and 20 minutes of walking just to for sushi and geek women. I also didn’t want her walking around West Philadelphia by herself late at night. So we ended up not going. I feel sort of bad about this, yet, I had my reasons for not wanting to put myself through any more potential stress or annoyance.

The rest of this week turned out to be wonderful though and I’m happy this situation didn’t turn out to be worse.
