It’s rare I get excited about new SciFi. I just watched Jerome Bixby’s 2007 “The Man From Earth” and was blown away. This movie is excellent and masterful in all of its aspects. Had me captivated the entire way through. Do not spoil it by reading about it though. Just check it out.

i hate most new scifi. omg look more aliens! killkillkill. very boring.

seeing as you and i have had similiar tastes in the past i'll check it out :)

Exactly. It's one of the reasons I enjoy Mystery Science Theater 3000 and RiffTrax so much. They perform a completely necessary service by making sure the viewing public doesn't become desensitized and accepting of the noise.

It makes you wonder if there is a lack of original ideas or if the general subscribing public just requires watered down entertainment. I would say the latter as some of the podcasts I've been listening to recently on science and spirituality are chock full of great thought.
